Day 1
Friday

August 16, 2019,

9.00 – 5.30

Birds of the Outback with Debbie Crothers – You could be forgiven for thinking Australia is a vast expanse of “nothingness” full of red dirt and sheep or cattle.  In fact, Australia is home to many beautiful birds.  One of the rarest birds on this planet just  happens to live in the Australian Outback – The Outback Polymer Pigeon.  We’re going to attempt to replicate the amazing feathers from this bird which won’t be easy but, with guidance and a little bit of artistic creativity, I know we can do it!!

Day 2
Saturday

August 17, 2019,

09.00 – 05.30

Drought in the Outback with Debbie Crothers – Outback colours and crackled polymer clay combine beautifully in these gorgeous crackle beads.  Creating polymer clay crackle is always exciting and I think it’s that element of unpredictability that gets me hooked every time.

I’ll be showing you how to create a range of different crackle veneers using polymer clay only, although we might throw in some foils for good luck.

Day 3
Sunday

August 18, 2018,

09.00 – 12.30

Resist This with Debbie Crothers – Ahhh alcohol inks and polymer clay – a match made in heaven.  Throw a little crackle into the mix and it’s just too much excitement for one day!

This workshop is pure exploration and it’s one of my faves and it’s all about veneer and crackle exploration.  I’ll share a few basic techniques which you can then explore however you like and I’ll be more than happy to tell you everything I’ve learned about alcohol inks and polymer clay.  I’ll have samples on hand for further inspiration.

Day 3
Sunday

August 18, 2019,

2.00 – 5.30

Traffic Hazard with Debbie Crothers – It’s a bit weird I know…but I’ve always wanted to grab those “butt-ugly” traffic cones and transform them with a splash of paint.  How awesome would that look on the road!!

Today we’re going to be creating our own “traffic” cones – but traffic cones with a difference!!  These are hand painted and hand designed and incorporate some cool techniques and they’re really not traffic cones at all but they’re pretty awesome!
